This is the 5th or 6th car seat that I have purchased, previously deciding to go with the Britax brand because all of the "infant" car seats are limited on weight and have seemed to flimsy. I decided to try this new infant seat for our newest member, due in June. My husband and I cannot quit going, "this car seat rocks!"
Here's why...

1. The base of the seat that stays in the car is so easy to put in with the latch system and actually doesn't move! We have had so much trouble in the past getting an infant car seat base to not move past the 1" limit. We have had to try towels and everything in the past. This went in like a breeze and the base actually adjusts height to give the proper recline for the weight of the baby, which is illustrated on the car seat with a small marble.

2. When putting this car seat into the base and removing it, there is barely any tilt or "shifting" required, meaning that the baby will actually be able to stay asleep when getting out of the car or back in while still in the seat. Previous car seats we used meant tilting and moving around the car seat to get it to click into the base or to get the thing off the base! This transition is so nice!

3. Granted, we haven't put our newborn in the car seat yet, but this seat is so light and the handle fits so easy in either your hand grip, or on the crook of your inside arm, which is so much more the case.

4. The padding is phenomenal and has the more breathable material. One of our babies in the past always ended up soaking with sweat in an infant seat that we used to have. Once again, I haven't tried this with the baby but the material is definitely something I haven't seen before on a car seat.

All in all, I am very very please with this purchase, probably the most of all new baby purchases that we have made. I would definitely recommend!

My babies are on the long side, and usually are out of the infant seat pretty early compared to other babies. I was happy to see this one is the longest carseat, and the cushioning is fantastic. My last baby didn't care for the carseat we had (very little cushion), so I'm excited to see how the new addition does!

We used this car seat for a year, and our baby grew out of it by height (it goes up to 30 inches, and yes, the head was also just 1 inch below; the seat goes up to 35 pounds!). We are now switching to the Safety First Complete Air which has the same air protect technology.
The main reason we purchased this seat was because it had Air Protect technology and, unlike the "Complete Air" was a much better fit for newborn babies. I did not find any other seat that would offer this kind of protection.
I loved the seat as soon as we got it.
The installation was easy: the seat had a level indicator, clearly marked for 2 positions 30/45 degree angles; the seat has adjustable base with extensive adjustments, which were sufficient and we did not need noodles (which I do not like using), even though the seats in our car are far from being parallel to the ground; the lock in the base made it very easy to adjust the seatbelt; I went ahead and had the seat installation checked by professional and was told it was perfect.
The seat is lightweight, especially considering that it accommodates babies up to 35 pounds. It does provide more legroom for the baby. Our baby was toll and still his legs have never being hanging from the seat, there was enough room and he was comfortable! Also, the insert was very handy when the baby was smaller.
I felt that the baby was safe in this seat (unlike the other one we tried using prior to buying this one); he was always comfortable but yet there was not too much space left between his head and body, and the sides of the seat, so he was not moving from side to side, as in some other car seats.
The seat is big, so as many seats, which accommodate higher weight you cannot put this seat on the top of the shopping cart. It did not cause any problems for us, I simply put it inside of the cart, and actually liked it much more - it was safer - rather than putting a heavy weight on one side of the cart at the top, it was well balanced and protected inside, and still left room for groceries.
The seat is only compatible with the stroller made for it. It was never a problem for us because I never needed/wanted to put the seat in the stroller. If I went shopping - the seat was in the shopping cart, if I went out, I did not want the baby to stay in the seat extended periods of time anyway, and I put him a stroller of different brand(without the car seat).
I saw that one review mentioned having problems with child's finger getting stuck in seat belt guides. We have never had this issue, our baby was never interested in those ever. So I supposed it could be a problem for some, but never was for as. As far as bumping the seat - well, I think you should never "bump" your baby in the seat regardless of the seat belt guides.
I saw a review that said they could not comfortably fit the seat in Honda Accord or Grand Cherokee, even on the side back seat. I can hardly believe that because we have Civic, which is smaller than Accord and we able to put the seat in the middle of the back seat. We had to move the recline on the passenger seat somewhat and also it limited the driver seat from being used in all of its positions, so it was not the most comfortable position but it was still OK for the driver (5'6") - I could straighten my arms and legs while in the driver's seat; so the little inconvenience I felt was worth the safety. And I think in any car that is a little bigger than the Civic, which majority of cars are, I would not think there should be any problems in fitting the seat. And you'll have the same problem with any infant seat that accommodates 30 or 35 pounds, and with any convertible car seat if you put it at 45 rear facing.
The harness belt has no protective covers near babies neck, and as expected it was too hard for babies skin. However, as advised by other parents I simply used small baby socks and put them over the harness belt, and it worked wonderfully.

So for us, this car seat was THE best infant car seat.
