I'm a huge fan of the ESV with its combination of "essentially literal" translation philosophy and readable style. As a graduate student who usually carries a library of books on his back, the size and weight are ideal. One minor critique, not of the Bible, itself, but of Amazon's listing. This Bible is NOT leather-bound. The binding is typical of Bibles in this price range: a plastic or polyurethane cover (I believe Crossway calls it "TruTone") over a medium-weight cardstock. It is Amazon's (probably innocent) mistaken listing that earned a four rather than five star rating.

okay so i wanted a cute bible and i wanted the ESV version but this bible is too small. I was very disappointed!

I keep this Bible in the front pouch of my backpack at all times. It is so handy and doesn't add extra weight to my backpack while I walk from class to class. The cover is beautiful and very soft.
